About this course

Start Here: Understand Your Preparation GoalsPreparing for OSHA 10-Hour Construction training takes planning, practice, and a clear sense of what you need to study. The program covers an introduction to OSHA, the Focus Four hazards (falls, electrocution, struck-by, and caught-in/between), personal protective equipment, health hazards, and elective topics such as materials handling, tools, ladders, scaffolds, excavations, cranes, and fire protection. This course gives you a structured way to practise that range, check where you stand, and build a steady study routine before your training.

What This Course CoversThis course contains 560 multiple-choice practice questions, divided across six sections:Section 1: Introduction to OSHA and Workers’ RightsThis section covers the basics. You will practice questions on the OSH Act of 1970, OSHA’s mission and authority, worker rights, and employer duties. You will also review how inspections and citations work, the different types of violations, and the General Duty Clause.

Section 2: Focus Four: Fall ProtectionFalls are a top cause of construction deaths, so this section gets extra attention. Questions cover fall triggers, personal fall arrest systems, anchorage, guardrails, floor openings and covers, and safety nets. You will also practice questions about competent and qualified persons and controlled access zones.

Section 3: Focus Four: Electrocution HazardsThis section tests what you know about electrical safety. Topics include ground fault circuit interrupters (GFCIs), assured equipment grounding conductor programs, and safe distances from power lines. You will also see questions on lockout and tagout, grounding, cord inspection, and how to respond to a shock.

Section 4: Focus Four: Struck-By and Caught-In/Between HazardsHere you will practice spotting the different struck-by categories and the controls for each. The section also covers trench protective systems, soil types, daily inspections, and spoil setback. You will learn how to classify caught-in and caught-between hazards.

Section 5: PPE and Health Hazards in ConstructionThis section covers hard hat classes, PPE categories, and the employer’s hazard assessment duty. You will also practice questions on respirator basics, hazard communication, silica, noise, heat, cold, and ergonomic hazards. Section 6: Elective Topics: Materials Handling, Tools, Ladders, Scaffolds, Excavations, Cranes, Fire ProtectionThe last section covers the elective topics.

You will see questions on ladder setup and 3-point contact, scaffold triggers and load capacity, fire extinguisher classes, crane load charts, rigging inspection, stable stacking, and tool guards. Learn Through PracticeEach question is followed by a detailed explanation. The explanation for the correct answer is marked clearly, and each other option is explained as well, so you can see why it does not fit.

Reviewing both correct and incorrect answers is where much of the learning happens, especially where two safety rules look similar but apply in different situations. Practice With 560 QuestionsMultiple-choice questions help you apply what you have studied, check your understanding, and become familiar with question-based assessment. The questions in this course mix direct knowledge questions with realistic job-site scenarios, so you practise both recall and judgement.

You can take the tests in any order and repeat them as often as you like. Understand the Reason Behind Each AnswerDo not rush past a question after you see the score. Read the explanations, note the topics where you guessed, and keep a short list of weak areas.

When a scenario question surprises you, ask yourself which hazard it belongs to and which safety rule the situation calls for. That habit is useful well beyond this course. Study at Your Own PaceYou can organise your study around the six sections.

Start with the introduction to OSHA, then work through fall protection, electrocution, struck-by and caught-in/between, PPE and health hazards, and the elective topics, or begin with the area you feel least sure about. Revisit a section, repeat its questions, and focus extra time on the topics that keep catching you out. Build a Practical Training Preparation RoutineA simple routine works well:1.

Study one section at a time. 2. Answer its practice questions.

3. Read every explanation carefully. 4.

Write down the topics you got wrong or were unsure about. 5. Repeat the questions to check your improvement.

6. Review your notes before your training. Practice scores can help you spot weak areas, but they do not guarantee training results.

Is This Course Right for You? This course is for you if you are preparing for OSHA 10-Hour Construction training, if you are an entry-level construction worker, or if you work in a trade adjacent to construction. It is also useful if you want to check your safety knowledge before training, or to refresh it afterwards.

Review the topics in one section. 2.

Practise its questions after studying the topic. 3. Read the explanations carefully, including for answers you got right.

4. Record incorrect answers and uncertain topics. 5.

Repeat the questions to measure improvement. 6. Review your notes and weak topics before your training.

Practice scores help you identify weak areas but do not guarantee training results. Professional and Career RelevanceKnowledge of construction safety supports day-to-day work on every job site, from recognising hazards and using protective equipment correctly to following lockout procedures, inspecting scaffolds, and responding to emergencies. It helps you talk about risk and controls in a way that employers and supervisors recognise, and it gives you a shared language with safety teams and co-workers.

This course focuses on that practical knowledge, and on preparing you for OSHA 10-Hour Construction training. “This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.”Industrial boilers provide the steam and hot water essential to manufacturing, processing, heating, and power generation. Their performance influences far more than the availability of thermal energy. It directly affects production continuity, fuel expenditure, equipment reliability, and workplace safety. A strong understanding of industrial boiler engineering is therefore essential for maintaining efficient operations, protecting critical assets, and supporting the long-term performance of industrial facilities. In today's industrial environment, boiler plants must operate under changing production demands, rising energy costs, and increasingly demanding safety and environmental requirements. Problems involving equipment condition, operating parameters, or system performance can result in unnecessary energy losses, costly downtime, and significant operational risks. Addressing these challenges requires professionals who can interpret technical information, recognize developing problems, assess their consequences, and make informed decisions based on established engineering principles. The course develops these capabilities through a structured progression from fundamental engineering concepts to a comprehensive understanding of industrial boiler systems. It gradually connects technical principles with practical operating conditions, before advancing toward performance assessment, equipment integrity, monitoring, control, and risk management. This progression establishes the foundation for systematic troubleshooting, regulatory awareness, and professional decision-making, helping learners understand how engineering knowledge is applied throughout the operational life of industrial boilers.Effective boiler management requires a disciplined approach that extends beyond routine operation and immediate fault correction. It involves understanding equipment limitations, anticipating potential failures, maintaining appropriate operating conditions, and making decisions that balance safety, energy efficiency, reliability, and lifecycle costs. This course emphasizes the value of consistent technical assessment, preventive practices, accurate documentation, and continuous improvement in supporting responsible plant management and sustainable industrial performance. For individual professionals, the course strengthens technical competence, develops engineering judgment, and supports greater confidence in evaluating complex boiler-related challenges. For organizations, it contributes to workforce development, improved coordination between technical teams, more consistent operating practices, and stronger oversight of critical thermal assets. By connecting engineering understanding with practical industrial responsibilities, the course helps build the professional capabilities needed to reduce avoidable losses, support regulatory compliance, improve plant performance, and maintain dependable steam and hot-water services over time. Each lecture includes dedicated study material and an infographic summary. Where applicable, the study material includes all numerical example problems covered in the course, along with the corresponding formulas and detailed step-by-step calculations to support accurate understanding and practical application. Learners should review the study material after watching each lecture to reinforce their understanding and use the infographic summary for quick revision and easy recall of key concepts whenever needed.Disclaimer: This is an independent industrial boiler training and exam-preparation course designed to support preparation for the UK Boiler Operation Accreditation Scheme (BOAS) and relevant US Boiler Operator and Stationary Engineer certification examinations.
