Your learning path1. Drawing foundations: explore observation, pencil grades such as HB, 2B, 4B, and 6B, simple shapes and forms, value scales, light direction, and shadows. Apply these ideas in a beginner still-life study.

2. Nature elements: practice tree trunks, bark, branches, foliage, rocks, clouds, water reflections, and grass. Use varied marks and tonal relationships to suggest natural surfaces.

3. Landscape depth: plan a focal point and arrange foreground, middle ground, and background. Explore composition, outdoor perspective, and atmospheric perspective while developing a simple landscape.

4. Portrait basics: work with head structure, facial guidelines, proportions, eyes, nose, lips, face planes, and hair masses. Combine construction and shading in a simple portrait study.

5. A finished drawing: plan a thumbnail and value map, layer textures, adjust contrast and edges, and clean up your final artwork. Explore different lighting effects as part of the finishing process.
