About this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence. Working alone rarely fails on the quality of the work. It fails on rhythm: while the project runs there is no time to look for the next one.

The month with no incomeThe project ends and you start looking, and then you discover that from first contact to first payment is six to eight weeks. So you spend those weeks earning nothing, having earned well the month before. Then a client appears, you go under water again, and the cycle repeats — which means your annual income is set less by your rate than by how many of those empty months you have.

Meanwhile the client from last year, who was pleased with the work, has quietly gone somewhere else and you never found out why, because nobody ever asked them anything. What this course coversForty-four lessons that build a flow which does not depend on whether you are busy this week. Who buys, first: survey types and what each one answers, questionnaire design, scales, the length at which answers stop being honest, getting a decent response rate, and reading the open answers where the actual content lives.

Then where people find you: the site, the community, referral programmes designed deliberately rather than hoped for, email, content and video, search optimisation, copy that gets clicked, paid search, web analytics, remarketing, paid social across six platforms, and measuring every channel by cost, speed and quality of what it brings. Then the funnel: auditing what you already do, the journey map, step-by-step analysis to find where people disappear, FAB, AIDA and SPIN, text that converts, writing to people who were not looking for you, strategies for when nobody has heard of you, handling negative comment, and how many messages to send before stopping. Then selling itself: the stages of a deal, buyer psychology, the value proposition canvas, personas, cold outreach qualified with BANT, the five-touch method, the elevator pitch, the ladder of persuasion, objections through LAER and Feel-Felt-Found, closing techniques, running your own day, and the numbers — acquisition cost, lifetime value, conversion, average deal.

Then keeping people: the client journey audit, service standards, satisfaction and effort scores, difficult clients, escalation, and preventing the review before it is written. Finally the money: the financial model, what changes as you grow, budgeting as decision-making, the metrics that matter, and building something that survives scaling. Three blocks recorded for a different kind of attractionThe research, channels and funnel blocks were recorded for people attracting candidates rather than customers.

Paid search, web analytics, remarketing, cost per acquisition, questionnaire design, funnel analysis and writing to someone who was not looking for you behave identically whoever you are trying to reach. If anything, attracting a candidate is the harder version of the problem: a person who already has a job replies more reluctantly than a person who has one. Who is teaching thisI am Mike Pritula.

AI for Small Business HR: Hiring, Reviews and Pay [EN]

Udemy Instructor

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence. In a company of thirty people there is no HR department, so all three of its jobs land on you. You do them badly, and you know it.Three gaps, and no budget to fill themYou hire four times a year, which is exactly the frequency at which nobody gets good at it. The advert is a list of duties, the CVs blur together, and the interview is a conversation you improvise. You have never run a performance review, because nobody ever showed you what one contains and the templates online assume a department that does not exist. And pay is set by feel: the last three salaries were decided by who negotiated hardest and how nervous you were about losing them, which means two people doing the same work are almost certainly on different money and one of them will find out. What this course coversForty-four lessons across the three jobs. The foundation first: what these models can and cannot do, how to write a prompt that returns something usable, working with documents and files, and building an assistant on top of your own material. Then hiring, in full: defining the role, writing an advert that attracts rather than lists, comparing it to competitors, reading CVs against requirements and generating interview questions from them, sourcing and outreach that gets replies, communication scripts and objection handling, preparing the interview and assessing the answers, attracting people before they apply, and the hiring metrics worth tracking. Then the same work in a second tool, because they are not interchangeable: where each model wins, what candidate data you must never upload, projects set up per vacancy, screening at volume, outreach and offers, connectors and browser working, and instructions and skills assembled into a system. Then reviews: goals and objectives written with AI, monitoring performance and spotting a trend early, building the review form and preparing objective data, running the meeting, and development plans generated from real performance. Then pay: job architecture and grading in hours rather than months, market benchmarking across several sources, geographic differentials, the merit matrix from performance against position in range, finding who is underpaid in minutes, a payroll budget in three scenarios, personalising benefits and finding the ones nobody uses, and personal statements of total reward. Finally the rest of it: automating routine questions, analytics and forecasting, learning, implementation, data security, and a readiness checklist.Written for a company with no HR departmentThere are a great many AI courses for people who work in HR. This one is for the person who does not, and never intended to — the owner or manager who ended up holding the hiring, the reviews and the pay decisions because there was nobody else. Everything here is chosen because it works without a team, without a budget and without an HR system: a chat window, a spreadsheet and about an hour. The material comes with working templates, prompt libraries and ready projects rather than theory.Who is teaching thisI am Mike Pritula. I built the people system at Preply as it became a unicorn, and I have worked at Wargaming, iDeals and Alfa-Bank. Business Continuity: Prepare, Respond and Recover [EN]

Udemy Instructor

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.Continuity plans are almost always written about the building. What happens if the power fails, if the warehouse burns, if the server goes down.Companies do not usually lose a building. They lose a personAnd not in a fire — on an ordinary Tuesday, to a competitor, with two weeks' notice. What follows is the same sequence every time. The process that person ran turns out to be documented nowhere, because they were the documentation. Nobody can take it over, because a bench was never built for a role nobody classified as critical. And the people who remain cannot absorb it, because headcount was set by what the budget allowed rather than by what the work requires. None of that appears in a plan about the power supply. Real continuity rests on three things: you know your current state, you know your risks by name, and every critical role has a second person. What this course coversForty-one lessons across those three. The current state first: what an audit is and how it differs from analytics, the five mistakes that make it a formality, three levels from compliance to strategic alignment, ten-minute maturity scoring, a thirteen-section checklist with weighted index and 729 items, four data collection methods, the RACI matrix for who runs it, fifteen metrics with formulas, and objection handling. Then risk by name: what human risk is, the heat map, the fraud and safety triangles, cognitive bias and conflict of interest, the 4I model, risks at individual and company level, ISO 31000 and the risk hierarchy, escalation, warning signs at senior level, risk culture, the three lines of defence, a decision checklist, and where accountability lands. Then the second person: why succession is a continuity question, criteria for critical roles, the impact and risk matrix, the nine-box grid, rotations and shadowing, transparency against confidentiality, bench strength and early warning signals. Then capacity: headcount as a cost line and a capability, segmentation, full-time equivalents, gap analysis, Delphi and nominal group forecasting, workload analysis, and optimisation through combining functions and removing duplication rather than cutting people. Then the response itself: hiring under uncertainty, reducing payroll in order of damage, development with no budget, assessing quickly and choosing who goes, delivering that news, and the contingency plan. Finally recovering the operation: the efficiency checklist, a strategy session after disruption, culture as delivery, the goal system, processes and automation, structure and its five drivers, projects, cash flow, infrastructure and procurement, and the accountability table.Every example comes from a company with employeesAll six blocks were recorded for a corporate audience, and five of them for the people function. That is not a stretch, it is the argument: business continuity fails on people rather than on equipment, so a risk register, a succession plan, a headcount calculation and a crisis response are work with people by definition. The operations block is the one part about the function itself, and it carries no industry. The audit block is a method applicable to anything — the 729-item checklist is about the people function, the weighting logic and index construction are not. There is very little to translate here. If you run a network of contractors rather than a payroll, the machinery will be heavier than your situation requires.Who is teaching thisI am Mike Pritula. I built the people system at Preply as it became a unicorn, and I have worked at Wargaming, iDeals and Alfa-Bank.
