Azure AVD & Entra ID Practice Tests: 160 Questions Explained
About this course
Can you build an enterprise lab in Microsoft Azure - and explain every step? These practice tests check the knowledge behind it: resource groups, virtual machines and disks with Az PowerShell, Azure networking and Bastion, domain controllers, DNS and sites for AD DS running on Azure, Microsoft Entra ID and Entra Connect for hybrid identity, and Azure Virtual Desktop host pools and application groups. You get 4 practice tests with 160 questions in total (40, 40, 40, 40).
Every question was checked twice before release: once by the author against the official documentation, and once by an independent reviewer who answered it blind - any disagreement was settled with a source. What makes the explanations usefulEach answer tells you why the right option is right and why each wrong option is wrong. The wrong options are real features, commands and settings that are easy to pick by mistake - that is where most of the learning is.
How the tests are builtPractice Test 1: Azure Foundations, Virtual Machines and Disks: subscriptions, resource groups, locks and budgets, availability zones, Cloud Shell and Az PowerShell, VM sizes, stop vs deallocate, managed disks, snapshots, Sysprep and custom images, availability sets. Practice Test 2: Azure Networking and AD DS on Azure: VNets and NSGs, Azure Bastion, just-in-time access, VNet peering, load balancers and health probes, static IPs and DNS for domain controllers, DC promotion, child domains, sites, subnets and replication. Practice Test 3: Entra ID, Entra Connect and Azure Virtual Desktop: Entra ID vs AD DS, tenants and licence tiers, custom domains, Conditional Access, PIM, Entra Domain Services, Entra Connect sign-in methods and sync, AVD host pools, load balancing, application groups and workspaces.
Practice Test 4: Full Mock Exam: a mixed exam across all three areas - take it last, in one sitting. Questions use single-answer and multiple-answer formats; the number of answers to pick is always stated. Suggested time: 60 minutes per test.
Versions: Microsoft Azure (portal, Cloud Shell, Az PowerShell module, managed disks, Azure Bastion, Standard Load Balancer), Windows Server 2022 and Windows Server 2025 Active Directory Domain Services on Azure VMs, Azure Virtual Desktop (Windows 11 Enterprise multi-session, Windows App client), Microsoft Entra ID (Free, P1, P2) and Microsoft Entra Connect Sync 2. x, as of October 2026. Please note: these are original practice questions written by an instructor.
