AZ-104 Practice Tests: 200 Questions Explained
About this course
Preparing for AZ-104 Microsoft Azure Administrator? The exam checks whether you can actually run an Azure environment: identities and governance, storage, compute, networking, monitoring and backup. These practice tests show you which of those you already own and which still trip you up.
You get four tests with 50 questions each - 200 in total, written from Microsoft's official AZ-104 skills outline (skills measured as of 17 April 2026). Every question is tied to one objective, so when you get one wrong you know exactly what to revise. What makes the explanations usefulEach answer tells you why the right option is right and why each wrong option is wrong.
The wrong options are where most of the learning is: they are real features, commands and settings that are easy to pick by mistake. How the tests are builtTest 1 - Identities and governance: Microsoft Entra users and groups, licences, external users, self-service password reset, Azure built-in roles and scopes, interpreting access assignments, Azure Policy, resource locks, tags, resource groups, subscriptions, budgets and cost alerts, Azure Advisor and management groups. Test 2 - Storage: storage firewalls and virtual networks, SAS tokens, stored access policies, access keys, identity-based access for Azure Files, redundancy, object replication, encryption, Storage Explorer and AzCopy, file shares, blob containers, access tiers, soft delete, snapshots, lifecycle management and versioning.
Test 3 - Compute: reading and changing ARM templates and Bicep files, deploying and exporting them, virtual machines (sizes, disks, encryption at host, moving, availability zones and sets, scale sets), Azure Container Registry, Container Instances, Container Apps, and App Service plans, scaling, TLS, custom domains, backup, networking and deployment slots. Test 4 - Networking, monitoring and backup: virtual networks, peering, public IPs, user-defined routes, NSGs and ASGs, Azure Bastion, service and private endpoints, Azure DNS, load balancers, Azure Monitor metrics, logs, KQL, alerts and Insights, Network Watcher, Recovery Services and Backup vaults, backup policies, restores and Azure Site Recovery. Questions use single-answer and "choose two" formats; "choose two" is always stated in the question.
Suggested time: 100 minutes each. Versions: the Azure portal, Azure CLI, Azure PowerShell, Bicep and Microsoft Entra ID as they stand in October 2026. The answers were checked against official documentation in October 2026.
