Authorised Gas Tester (AGT) – Industrial Safety Awareness

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence. The Authorised Gas Tester (AGT) Course is a comprehensive industrial safety training program designed to prepare professionals to safely perform gas testing in hazardous environments such as confined spaces and hot work locations. Gas testing plays a critical role in preventing explosions, toxic exposures, and oxygen-deficient atmospheres in industries such as oil & gas, chemical plants, refineries, construction, and manufacturing.

This course provides in-depth knowledge about atmospheric hazards, gas detection equipment, confined space safety, hot work safety requirements, and proper gas testing procedures. Learners will understand how to identify flammable gases, toxic gases, oxygen deficiencies, and other hazardous conditions before and during industrial operations. The program also explains international safety standards, permit-to-work systems, and real case studies that highlight the importance of proper gas testing procedures.

Participants will learn how to operate modern gas detection instruments, conduct accurate atmospheric testing, interpret gas readings, and properly document results for regulatory compliance. The course also explains the behavior and risks associated with hydrocarbons, toxic gases such as hydrogen sulfide and carbon monoxide, and the importance of continuous monitoring during hazardous work. Real industrial case studies such as major offshore disasters and confined space incidents are included to demonstrate how failures in gas testing can lead to catastrophic consequences.

Through these examples, learners will gain practical insight into risk prevention and emergency response. This course consists of multiple modules covering topics such as gas hazards, confined space testing procedures, hot work testing, gas detector technologies, equipment calibration, documentation requirements, and interpretation of results. By completing this training, participants will gain the competence required to perform the duties of an Authorised Gas Tester and contribute to safer industrial operations.
